Charles J. “Pooch” Cunningham, 68, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Elk Regional Health Center.
He was born December 2, 1942 in St. Marys, son of the late Charles and Angela Simbeck Cunningham. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1960. He was a retired employee of the Keystone Carbon Co., retiring in 2004 after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen O’Leary Cunningham of St. Marys; two daughters, Pamela (Mrs. Randy) Stauffer of St. Marys, Michele (Mrs. Michael) Boschert of St. Marys; three sons, Charles K. Cunningham of St. Marys, Michael J. Cunningham and his wife Ann of St. Marys, Scott M. Cunningham and his wife Jessica of Texas; 10 grandchildren; and two brothers, David Cunningham and his wife Mary Ann of Erie and Mark Cunningham and his wife Gerrianne of St. Marys.
Mr. Cunningham was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, was a member of and enjoyed visiting the CMF and the Eagles, and loved hunting, fishing, and spending time in the outdoors.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
Memorials if desired may be made to a favorite charity.
