Celia E. “Betty” Agosti, 85, of 122 Kyler Corner Road and formerly of Upper Cherry Road, Kersey, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 28, 2025 following a brief illness.
She was born June 15, 1940 in Benezette, daughter of the late Robert and Louise Sexton Glatt.
Betty attended school in Benezette and worked twenty-seven years at Stackpole Carbon Company and later at Glatt’s Inn and Keystone Carbon.
On July 2, 1960, in St. Boniface Church, Betty married the late Donald J. “Dumpty” Agosti, who preceded her in death on December 28, 2002.
She is survived by two sons: Michael Agosti (Debby) of Kersey and Robert Agosti (Eric Hoffman) of Ohio; four grandsons: Chad (Miranda), Alan (Heather), Phillip, and Anthony; six great-grandchildren: Kalie, Khloe, Emily, Logan, AJ, and Ryleigh; two sisters: Pierina Lenox (Ron) of Kersey and Angie Hayes of Kersey; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty was preceded in death by a son, Mark Alan Agosti in 1966; a sister, Judy Maglidt; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Hayes.
Betty was a faithful member of St. Boniface Parish and was a dedicated volunteer in the community. Betty could be found baking cookies or waiting tables during the fish dinners at St. Boniface School and setting up Christmas lights and displays at the Fox Township Park alongside Linda Krise and Bud Kugler. Betty was active with the Fox Township Sportsmen’s Club, cooking for the kid’s fishing derby and high school trap teams.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Boniface Church, 355 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 10:00AM with Rev. Christopher Beran, Pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in the St. Boniface Gathering Space on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 9:00AM until the time of service.
