Betty J. Bille

Betty J. Bille, 95, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Gypsy Road, St. Marys, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Elk Haven.

She was born April 15, 1919 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Peter and Mary Ginther Largey.  She was a lifelong resident of the area, attended St. Marys Schools, and was a retired employee of Powdered Metal Products.

On November 23, 1949, in the St. Mary’s Church, she married Richard E. Bille, who preceded her in death on May 25, 1998.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jo Turner and her husband Ronald of Clearfield, and Nancy Bleggi and her husband Scott of Gaithersburg, MD; four grandchildren, Scott Turner, Kelly Turner, Sara Turner and Jillian Bleggi; two great-grandchildren, Rex Butler and Remi Butler; a brother, Charles “Mickey” Largey and his wife Ann of St. Marys; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gina Bleggi; four sisters, Helen Kunes, Rosemary Hagen, Ruth Marshall and Joyce Marcolivio; and by three brothers, Edward Largey, Dave Largey and Henry Largey.

Mrs. Bille was a member of the St. Mary’s Church, loved working in her garden and enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend the committal services to be held in the St. Mary’s Cemetery Chapel on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
