Beatrice A. DePhilippi, 95, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Toby, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018, at Elk Haven.
She was born January 5, 1923, in Kersey, daughter of the late Albert and Lena Osti DePhilippi. Beatrice was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1941, and the Philadelphia General Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse for many years in Washington, DC before returning home to the farm. Beatrice furthered her nursing education and went on to graduate from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She retired as a nurse from the DuBois Regional Medical Center and was a member of the St. Boniface Church.
Beatrice is survived by two sisters, Eleanor Phillips and Dolores Perinn-Bowers, both of Carson City, NV; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Adeline Panighetti; and by two brothers, Alexander A. DePhilippi and George F. DePhilippi.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service to be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Ross Miceli officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday morning, from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
