Anthony J. “Buck” Bobenrieth, Sr., 78, of 1160 Monroe Road, St. Marys, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at Pinecrest Manor, after a brief illness.
He was born August 19, 1939, in St. Marys, son of the late Anthony R. and Mary Eckert Bobenrieth. He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys Schools. Buck was a retired employee of Carbon Graphite, retiring with over 25 years of service.
On February 17, 1961, in St. Marys, Buck married Linda M. Keller, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Christine Anderson and her husband John of Ridgway; four sons, Anthony J. Bobenrieth, Jr. and his wife Bernice of Toby, Brian M. Bobenrieth and his wife Jackie of Daguscahonda, Sean E. Bobenrieth and his wife Tammy of St. Marys, and Christopher J. Bobenrieth of St. Marys; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Flora Lewis of St. Marys; and by a brother, William Bobenrieth of California.
Buck was a member of the St. Mary’s Church. He was a Veteran of the US Army and was an avid outdoorsman. Buck was a longtime supporter of St. Jude’s Hospital.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Church on Monday, September 18, 2017, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, Pastor, officiating.
