Anna L. Anderson

July 29, 2013 — February 12, 1915

Anna L. Anderson, 98, of 116 Dagus Mines Road, Kersey, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, at the Ridgmont Assisted Living Facility in Ridgway after a brief illness.

She was born February 12, 1915 in Kersey, daughter of the late Claus and Clara Anderson.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Kersey High School, Class of 1933.  She also attended Grace Martin Secretarial School in Pittsburgh.  She was a retired employee of Keystone Powdered Metal Company.

On June 23, 1943, she married Lt. Floyd C. Ehrensberger, who was killed in action during WWII.  She then married George M. Anderson on October 3, 1964 in the Maria Lutheran Church, who also preceded her in death on April 3, 2000.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Evelyn Benson, Martha Wegemer, and Elsie Allinger; and two brothers, Herbert Anderson and Clark Anderson.  She was the last member of her immediate family.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Maria Lutheran Church, the Eastern Star, Women of ELCA, the Order of the White Shrine, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service to be held in the Maria Lutheran Church on Thursday, August 1, 2013, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Bruce Burkness officiating.  Burial will follow in the Maria Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Maria Lutheran Church, 123 Toby Road, Kersey, PA  15846.
