Ann W. Ecklund, 81, a resident of Elk Haven, passed away peacefully Friday, July 24, 2026 at Elk Haven Nursing Home.
She was born in St. Marys, daughter of the late Ernest “Pete” and Mildred Bickmire Werner. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1963.
Ann loved to play bingo at the American Legion in Kersey PA, scratch off tickets were also another love until she didn’t win much and gave them up. She loved to go to camp in earlier days just to be social and be with family. She was a previous member of the Ridgway Eagles and Faith United Church (Ridgway PA) where she attended with her husband Ron.
Ann is survived by her children: Andrea Brady (Jeremy) of Tobaccoville, NC, and Scott Bauer (Tanya) of Kersey; their father, Mark Bauer of St. Marys; Grandaughter Ava Brady of Winston Salem NC, step-daughters: Christine Prechtl of Kersey, Susan Parson (Jay) of Ridgway, Sharon Hamilton (Brian) of Ridgway, Amy Piccirillo (Tony) of Ridgway and Pam Davidson of Kane; step sons: Greg Ecklund (Aloha) of Ridgway, Mark Ecklund (Pam) of Kersey, and Dan Sorg (Mary) of Kersey and many step grandchildren she loved twenty-six grandchildren, thirty great-grandchilden and one great-great grandchild; two brothers: Robert Werner (Lordus) of Hollywood , FL, and Steven Werner (Cass) Sargeant, Texas; sisters-in-law, Judy Wolff and Carol Speaker (Bud), both of Ridgway; and her cousin and dear friend, Donna Nussbaum.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by a son, Kirk Bauer; her husband Ronald Ecklund; a step-daughter, Lynn Ecklund; a great-granddaughter, Ronnie Smith; sister-in-law, Patricia Corbett; and brothers-in-law, Tom Wolff and Jerry Corbett.
A funeral service for Ann will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, 169 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857 on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 11:00AM. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 10:00AM until the time of service.
Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Elk County Humane Society, 1025 E. Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.
