Amy M. Reed

Nov 5, 1964 — Jun 24, 2026

Amy Marie Reed, 61, of 647 Evergreen Road, St. Marys passed away peacefully with her sons by her side, Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Guy and Mary Felt Manor.

She was born November 5, 1964, in St. Marys, daughter of William and Karen Gaffey Fox of St. Marys.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Cameron County High School, Class of 1982. She continued her education in nursing.  In her over 25-year tenure as a Registered Nurse, she held positions in leadership, intensive care and nursing education for Penn Highlands Elk (formerly, Elk Regional Health Center); leaving a lasting impact and influence on the lives she healed and mentored.

In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by her three sons: Eric Reed (Kayela) of DuBois, Steven Reed of New York, and Nicholas Reed (Whitney) of St. Marys; four grandchildren: Veda, Lydia, Brooks, and Josephine; two sisters: Christine Sorg (Jake) of St. Marys and Lori Lewis (Scott) of St. Marys; two brothers: Joseph Fox (Justine) of Alabama and Richard Fox (Kim) of St. Marys; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was formerly married to William Reed, who survives, of Emporium and was preceded in death by her partner of 13 years, Dr. K.C. Joseph of St. Marys.

Amy devoted her life to her family and found her greatest joy in the love and happiness of her children and grandchildren.  She was a caring and devoted mother whose kindness, strength, and unconditional love touched all who knew her.  As a grandmother, she treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren and created countless cherished memories that will live on in their hearts.

She had a passion for traveling, especially to the beach.  She also loved shopping and could often be found searching for the perfect gift or special treasure for those she loved.  Above all else, her family was the center of her world, and she took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, and the warmth she shared with family and friends.  Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family will continue to inspire all who knew her.
