Agnes M. Auman, 92, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Elk Towers and a former resident of Ridgway, passed away Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Pinecrest Manor after a brief illness.
She was born July 23, 1920 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Simon and Frances Fruehstorfer Schafman. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Leo’s High School. She was a retired employee of Quality Components, retiring in 1987 after 35 years of service.
On October 25, 1941 in the St. Joseph’s Convent, she married Eugene G. Auman who preceded her in death on August 26, 1983.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley (Garry) Saline of Kersey and Brenda (Rick) Homme of Fernley, NV; two sons, Donald M. (Barbara) Auman of Charlotte Hall, MD and Francis D. (Sharyn) Auman of St. Marys; nine grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandsons, David Auman and Chad Saline.
Mrs. Auman was a member of the St. Mary’s Church and a former member of the St. Leo’s Church in Ridgway.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Church on Monday, December 3, 2012 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
