Casmir F. “Cash” Gorlowski, 84 of 702 Hall Avenue, St. Marys, passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, at Pinecrest Manor, after an illness of the past several months.
He was born October 11, 1936, in Wilcox, son of the late Frank and Helen Waskiewicz Gorlowski. Cash was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Wilcox High School. He retired from Keystone Carbon Company.
On July 2, 1960, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Cash married Margaret “Peg” Lecker, his loving wife of 61 years, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Mary Catalano (Daniel) of St. Marys and Janet Schnars of St. Marys; two sons: Paul Gorlowski of Edinboro, PA and Dr. John “Jay” Gorlowski (Darceia) of St. Marys; six grandchildren: Dr. Joshua Catalano, Anthony Catalano, Danielle Brody, Jacob Schnars, Stephanie Schnars, and Rebecca Glatt; three great-grandchildren; and by three sisters: Stella Anderson of Wilcox, Frances Riley of Ridgway, and Charlotte Nicklas (John) of St. Marys.
In addition to his parents, Cash was preceded in death by one sister, Leona Olewinski.
Cash was a hard worker, a faithful member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and cherished his family.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 325 Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857, Pinecrest Manor, 763 Johnsonburg-St. Marys Road, St. Marys, PA 15857, or to a preferred charity of one’s choice.
John and family, I am very sorry to hear of Cash’s passing. I have very fond memories of him from my time at Keystone. Sending you all prayers of peace and comfort at this time.
