Timothy A. Sidelinger | 65

November 18, 1957 - May 7, 2023

Timothy A. Sidelinger, 65, of Kersey, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Penn Highlands Elk, surrounded by his family.

He was born November 18, 1957, in Ridgway, son of the late Wallace C. and Rosemond M. Secco Sidelinger.  Tim was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1975.  He was employed at Keystone Powdered Metal company for 42 years as a Class A machinist and tool and die maker before retiring on December 1, 2019.

On July 16, 1983, in St. Boniface Church, Tim married Jamie Sheeley who survives.  They would have celebrated 40 years of marriage together this year.

In addition to his loving wife, Tim is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Weinzierl and her husband Nathan of St. Marys; his two grandchildren, who were his biggest joy, Westin and Ethan; one sister; three brothers; numerous nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law, Timothy Sheeley; sisters-in-law: Patricia Walker (David), Lisa Feidler, Amy Gorton (Robert); and nephews, Evan and Alex Gorton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, a brother in infancy, and his mother and father-in-law, Shirley and James Sheeley.

Tim enjoyed spending time with his grandsons whenever he had the chance.  “Papa” was his best title.  Over the years he enjoyed gardening and it seemed the garden got bigger each year.  He had a love for growing blueberries and fruit trees.  It was a frequent occurrence to see him driving his John Deere tractor around the yard.  He cherished his time with his family and his dog, Chloe.  He will be greatly missed.

  1. Jamie, Stephanie, Nathan, Westin, & Ethan,
Ours hearts are broken. Tim always had such a welcoming smile whenever we’d see him. It doesn’t seem fair he was dealt with so many ailments. May the difficult days pass, tears fade, and the smiles come through all the precious memories.
    Much love,
    Dave & Susie

  2. Jamie and Steph,

In the past year I have spent time with Tim hearing stories about his little guys that he loved so very much. He was one proud Papa. He was a very kind person with a great laugh! He will be greatly missed.

  5. Our hearts and prayers go out to all of you. May God give you the strength and courage during this most difficult time.

  6. So sorry for your loss, Prayers

  7. So sorry for your loss. May God comfort you.

  8. I have known Tim, since I was a young girl & he met my sister Jamie. I remember as a kid getting to ride in his camaro, the white fur on the back seats. He was the first to introduce me to AC/DC, Def Leppard & Reo Speedwagon. I remember trips to Wings on Wheels in Dubois where he & Jamie used to roller skate. He was a good man, I liked listening to him talk, and his laughter filled the room at every occasion. Most of all he was strong, he never gave up with any challenge his health brought him. I know he will continue to watch over my sister, my niece & her family as they were his greatest blessing.
We are so saddened you had to go, but are comforted knowing you found peace in heaven.

  9. Jamie & Stephanie ,Nathan Ethan & Westin, we are soo saddened to hear of Tim’s passing. We are sure gonna miss his stories and laughter at our family dinners and outings. We know you are at rest now and in heaven above. You will be watching over Jamie and Stephanie and Nathan and your grandkids, Ethan and Westin. Rest high in the heavens now. We are sure gonna miss you. Just know we will help take care of your family. Rest in peace Tim.
Love Patty & Dave & Timmy

  10. Have known Tim for years. Especially our younger days on Hemlock. Picking huckleberries on top of the hill. So sorry Jamie, Steph & family. He is now @ peace. And no more health problems.
