Terrence J. Shannon, Sr. | 89

September 1, 1931 - December 24, 2020

Terrence J. Shannon, Sr., 89, of 415 Walnut Street, St. Marys, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 1, 1931, in Caledonia, son of the late Francis and Lena Antonelli Shannon.  He was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from the Horton Township Schools.  He was a member of the Queen of the World Church.

On August 25, 1956, in the St. Boniface Church, Terrence married Romaine M. Copella, who preceded him in death on February 19, 2011.

Terrence loved and supported his family, he is survived by his daughters: Deborah Schatz (Albert) of St. Marys, Susan Bobenrieth (Donald “Flip”) of St. Marys, and Sonia Scutella (Paul) of St. Marys; his sons: Terrence J. Shannon, Jr. (Kathy) of St. Marys, David A. Shannon of Kersey, and Michael J. Shannon (Shannon) of St. Marys; by ten grandchildren: Jake Shannon, Hannah Schatz, Zach Schatz, Mitchell Shannon, Garrett Shannon, Logan Bobenrieth, Robbie Bobenrieth, Ben Scutella, Bryce Shannon, and Adam Bobenreith; by three step-grandchildren: Amberlin Hansen, Tylor Hansen, and Trevor Hansen; and by his sister-in-law, Sally Shannon of Brockway.

In addition to his wife and parents, Terrence was preceded in death by a son, Francis; his step-father, Alphonse Facchine; and by his brother, Dennis Shannon.  He is last remaining member of his immediate family.

Family was most important to Terrence, he will be missed.

A private service and committal will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Community Nurses, Inc., Hospice, 757 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 200, St. Marys, PA  15857.

  7. His Smile was Huge, Only to Be outdone by HIs Pride! That Pride came from his family, and how proud he was of every one of his children. Every time I would see Your Dad at Sheetz we would chat, and he was always telling me about 1 of this children and their accomplishments.
