Sharon L. Lee, 54, of 1299 Glen Hazel Road, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at home in the care of her family, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer.
She was born April 28, 1967 in St. Marys, daughter of the late James and Joan Lee. She lived in St. Marys for the majority of her life, where she attended St. Marys Area High School. On June 16, 1989, she was married to Gregory Samuels, who preceded her in death on May 23, 1994.
Afterwards, she was a resident of Penfield for twenty years, where she devoted her time to take care of her family, home, and cats. She also enjoyed gardening, decorating, and hosting friends at bonfires and game nights. She lived her latter days in St. Marys, where she was a self-employed housekeeper for both ELCO-Glen and private individuals.
She is survived by her son Owen Samuels of DuBois; her partner Daniel Erich of St. Marys; her sister Pamela Mizikar and her husband Daniel Mizikar of Mount Pleasant, PA; her nephew Donald Blashaw and his wife Lori of Youngwood, PA; and her niece Brooke Lee of Harper’s Ferry, WV.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Maynard Lee of Harper’s Ferry and her step-son Bradden Frutiger of St. Marys.
There will be a private interment at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. A memorial service for friends and family will be held at a later date once arrangements can be made.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801 and Penn Highlands Community Nurses, 757 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 200, St. Marys, PA 15857.
