March 19, 1958 - August 6, 2022

Sally E. Smith, 64, of 51 Sundown Lane, Summerville, PA, passed away following a lengthy illness, Saturday, August 6, 2022, at her residence.

She was born March 19, 1958, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Raymond B. “Goona” and Marguerite E. “Betty” Ambuske Frank.  Sally was a resident of St. Marys most of her life and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1976.

On January 1, 2005, at the St. Marys Country Club, Sally married Ronald E. Smith who survives.  Sally and Ron moved from her hometown to Summerville, PA and started their lives together.  Upon moving to Summerville, Sally transitioned her career from being a manager at the St. Marys Country Club to a service representative at Demans Team Sports in Brookville.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters: Aimee Pfleger (TJ) of Erie and Angie Rinn (Steve) of Erie; her son, Josh Bush (Sarah) of High Point, NC; a step-son, Dana Smith (Sylvia George) of Summerville; nine grandchildren: Ethan, Meghan, and Gwendolyn Pfleger, Michael and Lauren Rinn, Kaitlyn Bush, Jayden, Jonathon, and Christian Brewer; a sister, Christine Haberberger (Byron) of St. Marys; three brothers: Raymond Frank (Mary Ellen) of St. Marys, Glenn Frank (Kerrin) of Boston, MA, and Timothy Frank (Amy) of St. Marys; and by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sally was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Rebecca (Dallasen) Frank.

Sally enjoyed yard sales, the beach, and arts and crafts.  She had an exuberant and loving personality that touched the lives of everyone she met.   Her love of life was contagious.  Sally’s world revolved around her family; especially her grandchildren and making memories that would last a lifetime.  She would not pass on the opportunity to spend time with her family and enjoyed any activity that she could share with her children and grandchildren.  She made everyone feel special and loved and made sure everyone knew how much she appreciated them.  She made it a point to make the small things BIG!
