Ronald A. Green, Jr. | 59

February 24, 1962 - January 5, 2022

Ronald A. Green, Jr., 59, of 334 Spruce Street, St. Marys, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at UPMC Shadyside, after a brief and courageous battle with Leukemia.

He was born February 24, 1962, in Ridgway, son of the late Ronald A. Green, Sr. and Edna “Rusty” Farrell.  Ron was a lifelong resident of the area, was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1980, and was employed at Penn Metal Stamping

On July 31, 2021, in Johnsonburg, after 21 years together, Ron married Elizabeth “Deedee” Burgeson, who survives.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his son, Ronald “Eli” Green at home; two step-daughters: Tasha Simbeck of Kane and Ariana Schloder of St. Marys; a step-son, Noah Schloder (Cheyeanne) of Pittsburgh; and by two grandchildren: Kadelyn and Spencer.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Green; by his brother, Michael B. Schloder; and by his dog and best puppy ever, Juneau.  He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Ron enjoyed being outside.  He was a member of the St. Marys Sportmen’s Club and enjoyed target practice with his friends.  Ron was committed to maintaining the grounds at Twin Lakes with the Friends of Twin Lakes group.  He would dedicate hours of his time weekly to ensure that the grounds were in good shape.  He loved his friends and especially his family.  He will be missed greatly.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be celebrated in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 11:00 AM.

  2. I got to know Ron through working with him at Twin Lakes. I truly appreciate all his help and will miss his humor! Men like Ron that gave freely of whatever time they could spare are what make people special. Ron was certainly special!
