On April 4, 1964, in the Sacred Heart Church, Roger married Elizabeth “Betty” Nussbaum, who survives him.
Along with his wife, Betty, he is survived by his three sons: Michael Brennen (Sara) of State College, Russ Brennen (Erin) of Marlborough, MA, and Paul Brennen of Nashville, TN; his four grandchildren: Jake, Mackenzie, Sean and Danny; a sister, Donna Weed (Lynn) of Ohio; and three brothers: Gerald “Jerry” Brennen, Jr. (Ann) of St. Marys, David Brennen (Yeko) of Florida, and Lew Brennen (Susan) of South Carolina.

Roger was a member of the Sacred Heart Church where he was a committed parishioner, volunteering his time whenever he could, specifically to the Sacred Heart Social Committee. He was a skillful wood-worker, who blessed many of us with his craftsmanship over the years. He was also a dedicated sales rep with incredible drive. Most importantly, he was a humble family man. He loved the simple things in life, one of his favorite things to do was to sit on his deck, while grilling dinner, and enjoying a glass of wine anytime of the year.

Betty and family, I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of Roger. We shared many good times growing up as cousins. I pray that his soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed rest in peace.
Betty,
I enjoyed working with Roger at Hardware Specialties, and always enjoyed dealing with him after he left and started his own business. Was going to call him recently, regret not having done so. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.
Dear Betty and Family,
So sorry for the loss of your husband, your brother, your father, and grandfather. Each of these titles bring to life so many good memories. I will always remember Roger’s impish smile and the happy twinkle in his eyes. My God give you strength at this most difficult time.
We are so sorry Betty, Russ and Erin and to the entire family…….Our hearts are with you during this time.
-With love, Curran, Troy and Grace
My deepest condolences to you Betty and your entire family. I had no idea he was suffering from such a terrible disease. (We are in Florida and won’t make the funeral but know that we send prayers, hugs and love your way.) I don’t believe I’ve never seen Roger without a smile on his face and a kind word. You have known a lifetime of blessings with him.
