Robert F. “Bun” Marshall, 85, formerly of Kersey, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 21, 2024 at his residence in Wadsworth, Ohio.
He was born August 26, 1938 in St. Marys, son of the late Vincent and Dolores (Kronenwetter) Marshall.
Bob married Patricia Cotter in October of 1964 in the Sacred Heart Church; she later passed away in 1989. They were blessed to have two sons, Jeffrey and Toby.
Bob remarried Sharen Benigni Heigel on July 5, 1996, who survives.
Bob was a graduate of St. Marys High School. After graduating, he went on to serve in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1964. He attended Williamsport Trade School and became an electrician. He gained employment at Sylvania in St. Marys until his retirement in 1996.
Bob enjoyed his cars especially the Corvettes. He took great joy in attending car shows and cruise ins with friends.
We cannot forget the love for his dog, CoCo, who was his buddy and always at Bob’s side.
Bob is survived by his wife, Sharen, and his sons, Jeffrey from Hunker, PA and Toby from Tyrone, PA; step-daughter, Kristin (Heigel) Kinsey and her husband, Brian, of Wadsworth, OH; step-grandchildren: Bruce Kinsey and his wife Annie, Coltin Kinsey, Nolan Kinsey, and Victoria Kinsey; and step-great-grandson, Gideon.
In addition to his first wife, Patricia, and his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Winslow.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert F. “Bun” Marshall will be celebrated in St. Boniface Church on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 10:00AM with Rev. Kevin Holland, Pastor, celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received in the St. Boniface Gathering Space from 9:00AM until the time of Mass.
Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 E. Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.
Sharen- I am very sorry for your loss. Bob was a terrific guy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
