Richard P. Lenox | 89

September 19, 1931 - July 16, 2021

Richard P. Lenox, 89, of 119 Dagus Mines Road, Kersey, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at the Elk Haven Nursing Home, after a brief illness.

He was born September 19, 1931, in Jamestown, NY, son of the late Paul and Margaret Bradley Lenox. Richard was a retired employee of St. Marys Carbon, retiring in 1992 after 36 years of service.

On May 17, 1958, in the St. Boniface Church, Richard married Ann Longhi, who survives. He is also survived by his three sons: Thomas Lenox and his wife Jackie of Kersey; David Lenox of St. Marys; and Michael Lenox and his wife Gwyn of Kersey; six grandchildren: Laken, Jordan, Kristen, Cassidy, Colby, and Kyler Lenox; two great-granddaughters: Zoe Geyer and Isabella Lenox; and one brother, Ronald Lenox and his wife Pierina of Kersey; two sisters-in-law: Doris Lenox and Helen Lenox; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a sister, Ardythe Merritt; and by a brother, Robert Lenox.

Richard was a member of the St. Boniface Church, as well as a charter member of the St. Boniface Church Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed antiquing and gardening, and was an avid collector of Zippo lighters and Case knives. Most of all, Richard loved spending time watching his grandchildren play in their sports.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Monday, July 19, 2021, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Ross Miceli, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.

Visitation is at the St. Boniface Church Gathering Space on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 8:30 until 9:30 AM.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the St. Boniface Church, 355 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 or to a favorite charity.
