Rich was a huge family man who loved reminiscing about his childhood family and friends, researching his ancestors, and cherishing every moment and memory with them. Taking rides to Sunnyside camp, playing cards with his brothers and friends, and going to his grandkids’ events is how he spent most of his days. Going to Sunday mass and breakfast after with Leah and family brought joy and warmth to his heart.

Rich was a very cool guy I got to know through his Nephew, Tyler Erich. I met him (2019) while dining with Tyler at St Mary’s corner restaurant. From then on I would come up to St Mary’s from Pittsburgh, We would visit him and Leah a couple times. Tyler & I would eat out at DD’s with Rich . To his friends and family you have my utmost sympathy.
My condolences to the family – I cannot imagine your grief. I never met Rich, but Tamara talked about him every time I was around her. Sending prayers of peace to you all. Rich, thank you for your service!
