  1. Although I have not resided in Saint Marys for over 55 years I fondly remember Ray and the Nussbaum family who lived “up the street” from my home at 355 South Saint Marys Street. Ray and neighbors “Brother” Vealy, Bud Yohe, me and others had many great times growing up there. He was a true friend and it was an idyllic neighborhood.
My heartfelt condolences to the Nussbaum family. Take comfort in knowing Ray is in a better place and that we will be with him again when God decides it is our time.

  2. Rest in Peace Raymie.
You were a great guy with a smile always.
    Sympathy to his entire family.

  3. My sympathy goes out to the Nussbaum family on Raymie’s passing. It was a wonderful neighborhood with my grandparents, Al and Irene Loeffler being your neighbors! I was a grandchild that spent many hours playing here! Good times! Raymie let us play with the rabbits and feed them! It was a pleasure growing up in those days! Rest In Peace, Raymie.

  4. Bunny, Eddie, Johnny, Lolly, Lisa, and family – I’m saddened to hear of Raymie’s passing. He was a unique, giving individual and my next-door neighbor for 26 years until I left Saint Marys. He taught me how to drive and took me for my test. He was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand and never asked for anything in return. I have fond memories of my sister Nancy and I playing pranks on him when we were children. He would pretend to get all riled up but I think he did it on purpose to amuse us. Our good deeds don’t save us but God rewards us for them, so I hope he’s enjoying the many I’m sure he’s been given. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.
