Ralph L. Challingsworth, 86, of 101 Robin Road, Kersey, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at his residence.
He was born September 20, 1938, in DuBois, son of the late Harvey and Zerda Burch Challingsworth. He was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of Bennett’s Valley High School, a supervisor at GTE-Sylvania, and a veteran of the United States Navy.
On May 11, 1961 in Weedville, Ralph married Nancy Pichler, who survives. They were blessed to share sixty-three years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, Nancy, he is survived by his daughter, Robin Green (Paul) of Temple, TX and his son, Dean Challingsworth (Michele) of Kersey; four grandchildren: Bryan Green, Ashley Stuhldreher (Jason), Kayla Challingsworth (Tony Anders), and Briana Challingsworth (Rylie Poirier); one great-granddaughter, Skylar; two brothers: Glen Challingsworth (Connie) of Brockport and Vaughn Challingsworth (Diane) of Sanford, NC; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by a brother, Burch Challingsworth.
Ralph was a humble, generous, and kind man. His kindness was an example of a man that put his faith and family first. Ralph was also a devoted member of the United Methodist Church in Kersey.
One of Ralph’s many passions was competitive shooting. Over his lifetime, Ralph shot over 330,000 targets. He achieved numerous shotgunning awards, including being inducted into the PSSA Trapshooting Hall of Fame in 2021.
Funeral services for Ralph will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home, 371 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00AM with Pastor Ann Foor, officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to a favorite charity of one’s choosing.

It is with great respect that I send my heartfelt condolences to the family. I always appreciated our conversations at PSSA and Bradford Gun Club. May God be with Ralph and with all of the family at your time of sorrow and need.

Dear Nancy, Robin and Dean,
