Patsy J. Scutella, 94, of 217 Grandview Road, St. Marys, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born August 19, 1930 in Kane, PA, son of the late Joseph and Rose Amiconi Scutella.
On August 6, 1955, in the St. Callistus Church in Kane, he married the late Angeline C. Cappello, who preceded him in death on June 20, 2021.
Patsy is survived by one daughter: Teresa Scutella of St. Marys; one son, Paul “Ozzy” Scutella (Sonia) of St. Marys; three grandchildren: Arlie Kronenwetter, Courtney Saville, and Ben Scutella; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Roseann Kronenwetter; a sister, Antoinette Mafrici; and two brothers: Anthony Scutella and Dominic Scutella. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and a retired employee of Keystone Powdered Metal Company. Prior to Keystone, he worked at Scutella’s Dry Cleaners and following his retirement from Keystone, he stocked shelves for Frito-Lay and worked part-time at Pro Process. Patsy enjoyed a good card game and cherished each moment in the woods hunting with his son, Paul. He was proud of his family and loved each moment with them.
Funeral and committal services will be held privately by the family.
Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Penn Highlands Community Nurses Memorial Fund, 757 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 200, St. Marys, PA 15857.
To the family of Patsy: It is with great sadness I send my condolences on the passing of Patsy. Patsy helped me stock shelves when I worked for Frito-Lay. He was a reliable helper and became a great friend. Although I have not seen him in several years, I often thought of him. He will always hold a special place in my heart.
