Patricia L. Eynon | 87

October 26, 1934 - February 10, 2022

Patricia L. Eynon, 87, of 620 Sunset Road, St. Marys, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the Elk Haven Nursing Home, after a lengthy illness.

She was born October 26, 1934, in Byrnedale, daughter of the late Levin J. and Helen Burch Turley.  Patricia was a lifelong resident of the area, was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1952, as well as a graduate of Akron University.  Pat was a nurse by profession, working for a short time in the operating room at the San Francisco General Hospital and in Hartford, CT, and eventually as a nurse in the operating room of the Ridgway Hospital.

On June 8, 1957, in the Shiloh Presbyterian Church, Patricia married Thomas M. Eynon, who survives.  They were blessed to have shared over 64 years of marriage.

Also surviving is her daughter, Jackie Quam of Evergreen, CO; and her grandson, Ritter Quam.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Turley, who passed away in 2021.

Pat was a devoted wife, mother and friend.  She loved animals of all types, and always treated others with kindness and compassion.  She was a dedicated lifelong Christian with steadfast faith in God’s love. Pat was one of the founders and a volunteer for the Christian Food Bank.  She also volunteered for the American Red Cross for over 30 years.

There will be no visitation.                                                                        

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held at a later date to be announced.

  1. I am so sorry for your loss! I will forever remember showing Pat all of our stamps and having her pick from them! She would sometimes share a story or memory of one of you. She was a wonderful woman who always made me smile!
