Nada A. Carr | 64

October 5, 1959 - March 12, 2024

Nada A. Carr, 64, of 182 Skyline Drive, Kersey, passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

She was born October 5, 1959 in Ridgway, daughter of the late Frederick and Louise Shadd Moore. She was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of Ridgway High School, and employed at Penn Highlands Elk.

Nada is survived by her two daughters, Carrie Mosier (Chris Severance) of Ridgway and Tara Uhl of Kersey; five grandchildren: Garrett Mosier, Jack Mosier, Daisy Aldrich, Corey Uhl, and Aaron Uhl; three sisters: Marsha Meyer, Ellen Bart (Dan), and Jennifer Bobenreith; one brother, John Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy, in infancy; her aunt, Katie Iorfida; her niece, Seana Bobenreith; her great-nephew, Christopher, in infancy; and by her father, Bob Hnath.

Nada dedicated 30 years as the Penn Highlands Elk Rehabilitation Center Financial Secretary. She took genuine pride in her work and the relationships she made with co-workers and patients. She enjoyed crafting, bingo, and taking trips “up North” to gamble.

Funeral and committal services will be held privately by the family.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.

  1. I had the pleasure of working with Nada while I was at Pinecrest Manor. She was always so kind and caring and had a tremendous work ethic! Nada, you will certainly be missed. RIP

  2. On behalf of the RHS Class of 77, I extend our sincere sympathy to Carrie and Tara in the loss of their mom. We have many memories of Nada throughout our school years ❤️

    We will be placing a memory brick, in Nada’s name, along side our other Class of ’77 friends in front of the Elk County Court House steps ❤️

  3. I met Nada at Penn Highlands out patient therapy. She truly was a great person and super at her job. Truly sorry to hear of her passing. RIP Nada

    It is with great sadness I express my sincere sympathy on the loss of your Mother. I fondly remember all of you from Fox Township Elementary, third grade when life was good. May you find comfort in the lovely memories you have made as family. Rest in peace, Nada.
