Michael J. Krivonyak, 65, of 136 Hollow Road, Kersey, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, at Sena Kean Manor, Smethport, after a lengthy illness.
He was born August 29, 1957, in St. Marys, son of the late Basil and Doris Brennen Krivonyak. Michael was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School. He was a retired employee of the Keystone Powdered Metal Company.
On April 20, 1979, in the St. Boniface Church, Michael married Bernice A. Gornati, who preceded him in death on February 6, 2014.
He is survived by three sons: Timothy Krivonyak (Laura) of Bradford, Adam Krivonyak of Kersey, and David Krivonyak of Kersey; three grandchildren: Jocelyn, Basil, and Sara Krivonyak; his sister, Beverly Schatz of St. Marys; two brothers, Stephen Krivonyak (Darlene) and Thomas Krivonyak, both of Emporium; and by his nieces and nephews.
Michael was a member of the Dagus Mines American Legion, the Brockway Army and Navy Club, the Brockway Sportsmen’s Club, and the Brockway VFW. He enjoyed hunting and had a passion for motorcycles, being a member of A.B.A.T.E. of PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Kevin Holland, Pastor, officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the Fox Township Servicemen’s Burial Detail. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
As a proud volunteer for our local chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Michael’s family requests memorial donations to be made to the VVA, Bucktail Chapter 720, PO Box 220, St. Marys, PA 15857.

So very sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. Remembering the good times at Fox Elementary when you guys were little! You were great kids! Your Mother and Dad never missed an open house or parent-teacher conference for you. You were privileged to have such caring parents. Remembering the good times!
I was sorry to hear about the lose of Michael and wanted to let you know that all of us in the Hess family really were attached to Aunt Doris’s
kids. I babysat you guys and it hurts deeply. I’m so sorry Bev.
