Mary Lou Murray | 84

December 15, 1937 - October 14, 2022

Mary Lou Murray, 84, a resident of Christ the King Manor in DuBois and formerly of 711 Center Street, St. Marys, passed away Friday, October 14, 2022 after a lengthy illness at Christ the King Manor.

She was born December 15, 1937, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Albert and Fay Racchini Moyer.  Mary Lou was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Ridgway High School, Class of 1955.  She was a retired employee of SGL, retiring in 1998, after 43 years of service.

On August 12, 1961, in the Sacred Heart Church, Mary Lou married William B. Murray, who preceded her in death on December 1, 2005.

She is survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Mary Lou was a member of the Shiloh Presbyterian Church, the St. Marys Senior Center, and the American Legion Auxiliary, and was a former member of the St. Marys Lions Club.  She served as a volunteer for the Elk County Humane Society as well as the Elk County Historical Society.  Mary was a secretary for the Carbon Graphite Quarter Century Club and was a member of the Board of Directors for the St. Marys Area Federal Credit Union.  Mary Lou enjoyed shopping, collecting purses, and cherished her time with family and friends.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service to be held at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Matias Quimno officiating.  Burial will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to a favorite charity.

  2. So sorry for the loss of Mary Lou. We spent many Sundays doing lunch and having a good time.
