Mary Cornelio Bauer, 97, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Silver Creek Terrace and Wolfel Ave., passed away Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Pinecrest Manor.
She was born August 6, 1924, in Fairmont, WV, daughter of the late Octavio and Carmella Trio Cornelio. Mary was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys Schools. She was a former employee of Sylvania and spent most of her life taking care of her family and her home.
On February 24, 1962, in the Queen of the World Church, Mary married Harry E. Bauer, who preceded her in death on August 3, 2017.
She is survived by two daughters: Ann Marie Brennen of St. Marys and Karen Schneider (George) of St. Marys; one son, Tim Bauer (Stacey) of Mt. Joy, PA; nine grandchildren: Gregory Brennen, Nicholas Brennen, Patrick (Shelby) Brennen, Christopher Brennen, Adam Feldbauer (Nicole), Daniel Feldbauer, Jeffrey Feldbauer, Christina Pothoven (Gerrit), and Zachary Bauer; seven great-grandchildren: Olivia Black, Hunter Brennen, Lydia Feldbauer, Jace Feldbauer, Scotty Pothoven, Violet Pothoven, and Elon Feldbauer; two sisters: Josephine Martin and Irene Hnath, both of St. Marys; and by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by three sisters: Rose Garbic, Helen Cornelio, and Theresa Feldbauer; and by three brothers: Antonio Cornelio, Orester Cornelio, and Albert Cornelio.
Mary was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, baking, coloring, and was an avid BINGO player. Being with her family brought her the most joy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Peter Augustine Pierjok, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM.
