Marlene M. Wilson, 78, of 1872 Bucktail Road, St. Marys, received her wings Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at her residence, surrounded by her beloved family.
She was born May 31, 1946, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Robert J. and Nadine Goodrow Heiberger. She was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1964, and a former employee of Alpine Pressed Metals and PC Systems.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Nissel; her daughter at birth, Pamela Nissel; a sister, Lucille Knepper; and two brothers, Allen Heiberger and Norman Heiberger.
On April 20, 2012, Marlene married Darryl Wilson, who survives. Together they enjoyed years of love and happiness. Along with her loving husband, Marlene is survived by four sons: Robert J. Nissel, Jr. of St. Marys, Steven Nissel (Lisa) of Tennessee, Mark Nissel (Leah) of Alabama, and Chad Nissel of St. Marys; six grandchildren: Gage, Taylor, Kate, Haley, Kara, and Ethan; six great-grandchildren: Lucas, Mathew, Isaac, Gabriel, Kenadi, and Ryden; and many special friends.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, the outdoors, playing board games, cards, crocheting, and trips to the casino. She will be greatly missed.
Funeral services for Marlene are being held privately by her family.

We did not have the pleasure of meeting Marlene. However, my sister Leah (Mark’s wife), has shared her experience with her and that she was deeply loved and cherished by her children. Our condolences to the entire family for their loss.
