Lucy T. Timm, 95, of 222 John Street, St. Marys, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at her residence after a brief illness.
She was born December 17, 1926, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Frank and Lucy Weinzierl Daniels. Lucy was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1945. She was a former employee of the Stackpole Carbon Company and the Lyn-Clare Flower Shop, and she retired from Thrift Drug/JC Penney in 1989, after 14 years of service.
On November 23, 1949, in the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Lucy married Jerome J. Timm, who preceded her in death on October 23, 2016.
She is survived by four sons: John M. Timm at home; James T. Timm (Lin) of Kilmarnock, VA; Mark D. Timm (Margie) of St. Marys; and Frank W. Timm (Amy) of St. Marys; six grandchildren: Laura Dandoy, Carrie Mazur, Daniel Timm, Gina Pistner, Marty Timm, and Craig Timm; nine great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and by a brother, Maurice Daniels of Arizona.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lucy was preceded in death by two sisters: Marguerite Gabler and Agatha “Gay” Bleggi; and by four brothers: Joseph, Sylvester, Ambrose, and George Daniels.
Lucy was a member of the Queen of the World Church, the Rosary Altar Society, and St. Anne’s Society. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Jeffery Noble, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Penn Highlands Community Nurses, Hospice Care, 757 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 200, St. Marys, PA 15857 or to the Elk County Catholic School System, 600 Maurus Street, St. Marys, PA 15857.
Our sympathy to Lucy’s family. She was a lovely person.
I had the pleasure to work with her many years ago. Such a sweet and wonderful woman. Sorry for your loss.
She was the sweetest lady- we will miss her at St. Ann’s- Rest in Peace Lucy.

We were all saddened to hear the news about Aunt Lucy. I only have fond memories of both her and you father growing up in St. Marys. The picture of Aunt Lucy is exactly as I remember her.
