Kurt P. Brown | 56

January 10, 1965 - December 29, 2021

Kurt P. Brown, of 2949 Glen Hazel Road, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at his residence.

He was born January 10, 1965, in St. Marys, son of Lawrence R. Brown, who survives of St. Marys and the late Ella M. (Cheatle) Brown.  Kurt was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1983.  He was previously employed by Sylvania for 35 years and more recently was employed by ATS Manufacturing.

In addition to his father, Kurt is survived by his siblings: Mark Brown (Annamarie) of Kernersville, NC, Lisa Hanes (Terry) of St. Marys, and Rob Brown (Tina) of Labadie, MO; his step-mother, Carole A. Brown of St. Marys; his step-brother, Joel L. Snyder (Becky) of Colonial Beach, VA; his nieces and nephews: Eric Brown, Katie Brown, Jason Hanes, Jennifer Bish, Lacey Hanes, Noah Brown, Emily Brown, and Jonah Snyder; and by his dedicated dog, Dora.

In addition to his mother, Kurt was preceded in death by his step-brother, Skip Snyder.

Kurt enjoyed all that life had to offer.  He loved to barbeque and ride motorcycles and was a member of the Wanderers Motorcycle Club in Bradford.  He was a mechanic for the Bucksgahuda & Western Railroad and enjoyed going to camp.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Jeffery Noble officiating.  Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Saturday morning, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 East Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA  15857.

  1. Kurt was always so gracious when we came to visit. On one our visits he took us all around. Went to a winery and helped me cross the train bridge since I was afraid of heights. We just had a wonderful day with him. Kurt had a big heart and we thought so much of him. Larry, Carole and all the family are in our prayers at this time. Our love to all of them.

  3. Missy and l were so sorry to hear about Curt. He was an old friend that we both worked with for years at Osram. We had lots of good times in and out of work. He was a great guy. May he rest in peace.

  4. Kurt was such a fun guy who always made me laugh. He did what he wanted and lived how he wanted. I have sooo many good stories and memories of this man. I hope Bo is waiting at the gate for you buddy and let me know somehow if in heaven there really is beer. Cheers to your life here and deep sorrow for your family. You will be missed by many.

  8. Mr. and Mrs. Brown, I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your son, Kurt. I worked with and around him for many years. Kurt was a man with rough edges, that was always straight with you in every way. He was one of the very best mechanics that I have ever seen and worked with. He was and is, someone that made me and those around him better for having known him. I am truly saddened by his passing. Kurt was a good friend, and a Very Good Man. My sincerest condolences for your loss.
