Kathleen M. Bauer | 85

August 26, 1936 - January 24, 2022

Kathleen M. Bauer, 85, of 135 Dove Road, St. Marys, passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, at Penn Highlands DuBois after a brief illness.

She was born August 26, 1936 in St. Marys, daughter of the late William F. and Aurelia O’Donnell Renwick.  Kathleen was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1954.  She lived in the Binghamton, NY area for six years before returning to St. Marys making it her permanent home. 

On August 1, 1959, in the Sacred Heart Church, Kathleen married William M. Bauer, who preceded her in death on February 18, 2019.  Together they enjoyed over 59 years of marriage.

She is survived by three daughters: Julie Uberti (Gerry) of St. Marys; Jennifer Meyer (Joel) of St. Marys; and Jane Bauer (David) of Holiday, FL; two sons: John M. Bauer (Kathy) of St. Marys and James K. Bauer at home; eight grandchildren: Jacob Meyer (Stacy), Jodi Quiggle (Justin), Jonah Meyer, Ben Uberti, Will Uberti, Bailey Bauer, Brooke Bauer, and Thomas Martorana; five great-grandchildren: Andrew, Parker, Brady, Saylor, and Jetson; and by nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her two brothers: Jack and Joseph Renwick.  She was the last member of her immediate family.

Kathleen was a member of the Sacred Heart Church.  She was an avid Penn State fan and loved spending time with her family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Ross Miceli officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Elk County Catholic School System, 600 Maurus Street, St. Marys, PA  15857.

  4. Oh the times Kathleen, Jane, and Joanne had together over the years! May we all strive to be just like those “golden girls”!!! Sooo many fabulous memories of garden parties, tailgate parties and tons of laughter! Heaven received a beautiful angel this week.
