Joanne L. Beveridge, 91, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of 545 Wolfel Avenue, St. Marys, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
She was born February 20, 1933, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Walter W. and Marjorie Holland Renwick. She was a lifelong resident of St. Marys, a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1950, and employed at Penn Bank where she retired in 1995.
On April 23, 1955 in Sacred Heart Church, Joanne married the late John D. “Jack” Beveridge, who preceded her in death on November 6, 1993.
Joanne is survived by two daughters: Patricia Ann Stauffer (Dennis) and Amy Louise Timm (Frank) both of St. Marys; two sons: David John Beveridge (Lynn) and John Thomas Beveridge (Debbie) both of St. Marys; nine grandchildren: Jacquelyn Brem, Devin Stauffer, Stephanie Anderson, Meghan Eckert, Gina Pistner, Marty Timm, Craig Timm, Andrea Rodich, and Dana Forster; 25 great-grandchildren; a brother, Steven J. Renwick (Carol) of Middletown, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Saines and brother, Kenneth Renwick.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and donated her time at the United Way and Christian Food Bank. Joanne enjoyed her time at camp and spending time with her family. Her life revolved around her family especially her grandchildren. She was always interested in their activities and ongoing commitments.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 10:00AM. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Joanne’s family would like to thank all those at Elk Haven and Silver Creek Terrace. They are forever grateful for the care and tenderness given to Joanne.
