JoAnn D. (Griech) Gradizzi, 86 of Kersey, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024, following a brief illness.
She was born June 10, 1938 to Peter and Mary (Curci) Griech of Ridgway.
JoAnn was a graduate of the Ridgway Area High School class of 1956.
On June 27, 1959 in St. Leo’s Church, Ridgway, she married Jerome J. Gradizzi. Together they shared 33 years of marriage until Jerome’s passing in December 1992.
JoAnn worked several manufacturing jobs throughout her life and was the owner of Jo’s Ceramic Shop, which she started in her home in Shelvey Summit and later relocated to Boot Jack in Ridgway. After semi-retiring from the ceramic business, she worked at the Corner Market and Deli before fully retiring. She was a lifelong volunteer of St. Boniface starting as far back as the Bingo days right up to their famous fish fry dinners.
She enjoyed life to the fullest and took pride in cooking and hosting many family dinners and events. Her love of listening to music could be heard from her car stereo passing down the road or from the driveway of her house … she played it loud and often.
Her biggest pride and joy was her family, adopted family and friends whom she loved and adored and will miss her dearly:
Her four children: Randy (Shirley) Gradizzi of Kersey, Debby (Mike) Agosti of Kersey, Tina Gradizzi (Christopher) of St. Marys, and Joe (Cindy) Gradizzi of Kersey.

Her brother, Francis (Kathy) Griech of Ridgway, niece Tricia (Chris) Butynski and nephew Sean (Meghan) Griech and her great nieces and nephews Chase, Molly, Madelyn, Ashlyn, and Colin.
She was Mom to many and will also be missed by her adopted families, The Krishart’s and The Dempsey’s and many special cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Boniface Church on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 11:00AM with Rev. Ross Miceli, celebrating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Garden.
