James E. Eckert’s generous spirit, fierce loyalty, wit, sincerity, and love of life, family and friends tragically ended Thursday, October 21, 2021.
He was born January 7, 1992, in Ridgway, son of Daniel Eckert of St. Marys and Carol Miller Eckert of Kersey. James was a lifelong resident of the area, attended St. Marys Area Schools, and was a laborer at Elco Sintered Metals.
James will be wholly loved and missed by his parents and the rest of his surviving family which include: his sister, Ashlei Harrington (Randall) of Florida, his brothers: Shawn Miller and Joseph Eckert both of Kersey; his maternal grandmother, Irene Miller of St. Marys; and seven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Arnold Miller; his paternal grandparents, Rita and Alphonse Eckert; two aunts, Diane Kane and Donna Eckert; an uncle, Albert Kane; two cousins, Robert Rettger and Allen Kane; and a nephew, Gabriel Harrington.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Friday, October 29, 2021 at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Ann Foor officiating. Burial will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
