James A. Dornisch, 52, of 509 Woelfel Avenue, St. Marys, PA passed away unexpectedly Friday, February 9, 2024, at Penn Highlands Elk, with his son by his side.
Jim was born on October 29, 1971, son of Thomas and Susan Bauer Dornisch, who survive. He was a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1990 and employed by Pro Process in St. Marys.
In addition to his loving parents, Jim is survived by his children, Cassandra and Justin Dornisch of St. Marys; five sisters: Charlotte Beimel (Rick) of St. Marys, Rita Kraus (Michael) of St. Marys, Barbara Sarnoski (Scott Garner) of St. Marys, Maureen Badeau (Rich) of Montana, and Rose Nunamaker of St. Marys; three brothers: Daniel Dornisch (Jennifer), Jeff Dornisch (Becky), and Andy Dornisch (Cathy), all of St. Marys; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was devoted to his children and greatly loved his family. His relationships went beyond the average ties. Justin and Cassandra were the focus of his life and his greatest treasures. He always enjoyed and never missed one of their sporting events. He enjoyed every level of football on any day of the week. He excelled in electronics. When issues presented, he was the family member called on, and helped without question. Jim loved Christmas and there wasn’t a day that passed where his house wouldn’t be decorated for the Holiday. Anyone who knew him understood his unique personality and sense of humor. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Jim will be held in Sacred Heart Church on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Thomas More Sikora, OSB, celebrating.
There will be no visitation.
