Henry Thomas Hooper, Jr. | 78

August 18, 1943 - August 19, 2021

Henry Thomas Hooper, Jr., 78, of 452 Washington Street, St. Marys, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Penn Highlands Elk, after a lengthy illness.

He was born August 18, 1943, in St. Marys, son of the late Henry and Rose Fritz Hooper, Sr. Tom was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1962. He was a self-employed carpenter and brick layer.

On May 16, 1964, in the St. Mary’s Church, Tom married Ann M. Pfeufer, who survives.

He is also survived by his son, Tim Hooper of Kersey; his brother, Eugene Hooper and his wife Yvonne of St. Marys; several nieces and nephews; and by great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen McMackin.

Tom was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially his fishing trips to Canada, but he mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, August 23, 2021, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Thomas Curry, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday morning, from 8:30 until 9:30 AM.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857.
