Gloria Jean Sarginger, 68, a resident at Elk Haven Nursing Home, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024 at Elk Haven.
She was born December 9, 1955 in St. Marys, a daughter to the late Albert J. and Margaret Seelye Sarginger. She attended St. Marys Schools.
Gloria was a breath of fresh air to everyone who knew her. She enjoyed shopping, jewelry, and each day was a good day, especially with a can of Pepsi. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by three sisters: Debbie Asalone (Jim) of Weedville, Dorothy Harkenrider (Jim) of Beaver Dams, NY, and Joann Dawson (Mark) of Blossom, TX; and one brother, Dave Sarginger (Carol) of Ruckersville, VA. Also surviving are two brothers-in-law: Bill Chamberlin of Kersey and Dave Anderson of Johnsonburg; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Also surviving is her extended family at Elk Haven Nursing Home, including all of her wonderful caregivers.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by three sisters: Margaret Sarginger, Judy Chamberlin, and Nancie Anderson.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service to be held at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 1:30 PM, with the Rev. Thomas Curry, OSB, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Elk Haven Activity Fund, 785 Johnsonburg Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.
Oh what a sweet lady. I will hold my memories of her close to my heart heart. I too enjoyed her company at oak Manor, was a blessing to know her.
I have been helping take care of sweet Gloria since she came to Ek Haven…she was so sweet and always made me laugh..so easy to get along with and so polite

I’m remember Gloria from her time at Oak Manor. She was always so pleasant and easy going. I will always remember her kindness and smile.
Gloria was so sweet…..enjoyed her coming into office at Oak Manor….plus keeping my Mom company at Elk Haven.
