Donna S. Smith, 78, of 142 Woodland Road, St. Marys, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, surrounded by her family, at the Elk Haven Nursing Home, after a brief illness.
She was born November 6, 1943, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Gilbert and Kathryn Rebic Siecker. Donna was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1962. She was a receptionist at Elk Regional Medical Center for many years, retiring in 2008.
In June 1984, in St. Marys, Donna married Joseph Smith, who preceded her in death in June 1989. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Franklin “Sonny” Eckert in March 2017.
Donna is survived by her daughters: Yvonne Eckert and Kelly McMackin (Pete), both of St. Marys; her son, Scott Eckert (Michelle) of St. Marys; seven grandchildren: Aaron Simbeck, Carley Dowling, Mackenzie McMackin, Cameron McMackin, Hannah Eckert, Lauren Eckert, and Nathan Eckert; and by her great-grandson, Hayes Constable.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Donna was preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Pazinski.
Donna enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time outdoors. She also enjoyed listening to her favorite music and watching westerns. Donna was a devoted mother to her family and she enjoyed her home.
A funeral service will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday, February 14, 2022, at 10:30 AM, with the Rev. Jeffery Noble officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday morning, from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Crystal Fire Department, 319 Erie Avenue, St. Marys, PA 15857, or to a favorite charity.

My condolences to Donna’s family. I was a classmate of hers and she was always fun to be around. I’m unable to attend her services but will be there in thought.

My deepest condolences to Donna’s family. My mom and Donna were good friends for years and were all part of the party at Flannigan’s Pub. She was always so nice and sweet to me wherever I saw her.
