Deborah L. VanAlstine | 58

December 26, 1964 - October 15, 2023

Deborah L. VanAlstine, 58, of 120 Pear Road, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 15, 2023.

She was born December 26, 1964, in St. Marys, daughter of Donald Cunningham, who survives of St. Marys, and the late Carol Roth Cunningham. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1984. Deborah worked as a housekeeper at the Best Western Hotel.

In July of 1987, in St. Marys, Deborah married Keith A. VanAlstine, who survives.

She is also survived by her daughter, Gwen Bauer (Kris) of St. Marys; her son, Drew VanAlstine (Heather) of St. Marys; six grandchildren: Mackenzie, Taylor, and Chase VanAlstine and Abigail, Allison, and Claire Bauer; three sisters: Donna Blauser (Randy) of St. Marys, Yvette Reid (Romaine) of California, and Christie Wittman (Bill) of St. Marys; two brothers: Donald Cunningham, Jr. (Renee) and Dennis Cunningham (Barb), both of St. Marys; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Deborah was a member of the Queen of the World Church. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She enjoyed going for car rides and spending time with her family. Deborah will be remembered for having a sweet heart for everyone.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Jeffery Noble, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 East Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.
