David A. Schneider, 63, of 120 Fairview Road, Kersey, passed away August 23, 2024 at home peacefully, with family by his side.
He was born May 25, 1961 in Ridgway, PA, son of the late Gerald “Jerry” Schneider (2018) and Shirley Woelfel Schneider (2014). He was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, Class of 1979. He worked for Carbon/Graphite, Dippold Construction and Micale Construction. David also loved to build on his own and was very good at it.
He is survived by his daughter, Danielle Kugler and her husband Joe of Kersey; a step-granddaughter, Sophie; a sister, Ann Bolden of St. Petersburg, FL; and a brother Doug Schneider (Lisa) of St. Marys.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a brother, Greg Schneider (2011), and a brother-in-law, Andrew “Tim” Bolden (2011) who were two of his best friends.
David lived for two things: his friends and his daughter, Danielle, who was his absolute pride and joy and proudest accomplishment. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, going to camp, cooking, reading books on the outdoors, and being wherever his friends were. David went through a lot of hard times throughout his life, but the one thing he was most grateful for was for those who never gave up on him.
We’d also like to send a thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Hahne Cancer Center, who have been nothing short of amazing throughout David’s journey.
There will be no visitation and services will be held privately by his daughter and her family.
Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.
