Carlton G. Wonderling | 85

January 5, 1937 - July 7, 2022

Carlton G. Wonderling, 85, of 554 Townview Road, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Penn Highlands Elk.

He was born January 5, 1937, in Byrnedale, son of the late Jay and Winnifred Jury Wonderling.  He was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Weedville Schools.  In his earlier years, Carlton worked at Exotic Metals and IPM, and later went on to work at and retire from Fairview Sintered Metals.

On July 30, 1955, in Wilcox, Carlton married Regina Shaffer, who preceded him in death on November 13, 2010.

Carlton is survived by two daughters: Carleen Micale (Tony) of Kersey and Regina Wonderling (Chuck) of Ridgway; his son, Glenn Wonderling of Kersey; 10 grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; 21 great-grandchildren; and by his brother, James Wonderling of Kersey.

In addition to his wife and parents, Carlton was preceded in death by a grandson, Kenneth Gasbarre, Jr.; his sister, Kathleen Hetrick; his brother, Gerald Wonderling; and by his daughter-in-law, Deborah Wonderling.

Carlton enjoyed working on puzzles and helping others as best he could.  He loved spending time with his dog, Buddy, but his greatest love was spending time with his family.

A Funeral Service will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday, July 11, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Ann Foor officiating.  Burial will follow in Congress Hill Cemetery in Frenchville.

Visitation will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Monday morning, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
