Anna K. Taylor | 97

June 4, 1924 - April 25, 2022

Anna K. Taylor, 97, of 135 Houston Road, St. Marys, passed away Monday, April 25, 2022, at Penn Highlands Elk, after a brief illness.

She was born June 4, 1924, in Holsopple, PA, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Kuleczyk Kematick. Anna grew up in Tyler, PA, and attended Tyler Grade School and Penfield High School. She was a former employee of Sylvania in Emporium and later worked at their St. Marys location. Anna went on to retire from the Stackpole Carbon Company. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and the Northcentral Pennsylvania Polka Boosters Club.

On August 26, 1950, in the St. Stanislaus Kostka Church in Tyler, Anna married Kenneth R. Taylor, who preceded her in death on April 18, 1999.

She is survived by her son, Glenn Taylor of St. Marys; three grandchildren: Shawn Taylor, Marissa Johnston, and Mollie Taylor; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Nellie Longo of DuBois; and by many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Anna was preceded in death by two sons: Michael Taylor and Roger Taylor; two sisters: Olga Rio and Julianne Rio; and by two brothers: Michael Kematick and John Kematick.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Thomas Curry, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Sacred Heart Church, 337 Center Street, St. Marys, PA 15857.
