Diane M. Bon, 62, of 128 Rettger Street, St. Marys, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital.
She was born May 24, 1956, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Louis and Eleanor Yonkie Bon. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1974. Diane was a former employee of Elk Regional Health Center, where she had worked for over 30 years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and was a volunteer for Special Olympics for over 30 years.
Diane is survived by three sisters, Patricia Gahn, Bonnie Dreier and her husband Ed, and Sandy Bon, all of St. Marys; a brother, William Forster and his wife Jackie of Hermitage, PA; six nieces and nephews, Billy Forster (Christina), Matthew Forster, Daniel Forster, Drew Forster, Casey Gahn, and Erin Gahn; and by a great niece, Willa Forster.
In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her fiancé, Randy Pennington, on November 13, 2017.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Michael Gabler, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 East Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.
