Such sad news. Shirley taught me piano for almost 15 years. She was a gifted teacher with a lot of talent and tremendous patience. I would have never accomplished nor experienced the things I have musically, without Shirley’s guidance and support.

REMEMBER thy servant Shirley, O Lord, according to the favour which thou bearest unto thy people, and grant that, increasing in knowledge and love of thee, she may go from strength to strength, in the life of perfect service, in thy heavenly kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, ever, one God, world without end. Amen.

Shirley is one of my favorite people. She may have passed to a better life but she will always be in my heart and remain my favorite. I always looked up to her and wished I could have been more like her. Jim and Verena, my heart goes out to you. I don’t know all the rest of the family as well since I have lived so far away for so long but my prayers are with you all.. We would be there if we could but at this time it is not possible. Love, Judy, Bill and Family

My mother and I send condolences to your family, especially to Mr. Brock. Mrs. Brock was my piano teacher and Mr. Brock was always so kind to listen to me play. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Her love of her whole family was special to her. I am sure you will miss her.

We have moved out of St. Marys, so will not be able to attend the funeral, please accept our deepest sympathy and prayers.

Shirley was an incredible piano teacher! She taught both of my kids (Paul and Rachelle). I remember that she and Jim hosted Christmas parties for the kids who took lessons. She also allowed kids to earn prizes for mastering songs. My kids enjoyed that! Shirley will be remembered for the patience she had for her students and the love of music that she promoted. You have my sympathy.

So sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. I know when we spoke briefly at Pathfinder that afternoon, you and your siblings were striving to provide a supportive environment for her. Reading her obituary, she was quite an accomplished woman. Will be thinking of you.

Shirley is in our thoughts and prayers. We hope you will be given the strength to continue with life in her absence.

Had she been sick lately? I hope you are fully recovered from your lung transplant.
