William R. Park

William R. Park, 74, of 282 Wild Goose Lane, St. Marys, passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017, at his residence after a lengthy illness.

He was born July 22, 1943, in Baxter, PA, son of the late Levi and Alberta Brosius Park. He was a graduate of Brookville High School and had been a resident of St. Marys since 1965.  Bill was a retired employee of National Fuel, retiring after 33 years of service.

On August 1, 1964, Bill married Carol J. Smith, who preceded him in death on November 28, 1997. On January 16, 1999, he married Arlene Colaprete, who survives.

Bill is survived by a daughter, Sherrie Kahle of Brockport; two sons, Michael W. Park and his wife Robin and Eric R. Park and his girlfriend Jodi, both of St. Marys; seven grandchildren, Cassidy Kahle, Reina Kahle, Brenden Kahle, Kolton Kahle, Derek Park, Adam Park, and Karly Park; and by a brother, Dean Park and his wife Debbie of Brookville.

In addition to his first wife and parents, Bill was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Donald, and Richard Park.

Bill was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church and was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the American Legion, the Elks, and the Moose.  Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service to be held in the Good Shepard Lutheran Church at the St. Agnes Episcopal Church Facility, 209 North St. Marys Street, St. Marys, on Monday, December 11, 2017, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Bruce Burkness officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen’s Burial Detail.  Burial will be in the St. Marys Protestant Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Community Nurses, Inc., Hospice, 757 Johnsonburg Road, Suite 200, St. Marys, PA 15857, or to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 East Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA  15857.
