Joseph A. Dudash

joseph-dudashJoseph A. Dudash, 78, of 440 Eben Road, St. Marys, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016, at Penn Highlands DuBois, after an illness of the past several months.

He was born June 13, 1938, in Tide, PA, son of the late John and Mary Molnar Dudash. He was a graduate of Home City High School, Class of 1955, and had been a resident of St. Marys since 1966.  He was a retired employee of Sylvania, retiring in 2000 after 30 years of service.

On October 17, 1964, in Barnesboro, PA, he married JoAnn Clark, who survives. Joe is also survived by a daughter, Christine McCurdy and her husband Randy of St. Marys; three grandchildren, Amanda, Allison, and Ashley McCurdy; a sister, Joan Weir of New Castle, PA; and by a brother, John Dudash and his wife Sandy of Homer City, PA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth, in infancy.

Joe was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He enjoyed walking around town every day and was an avid fly fisherman, hunter, and gardener.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Full military rites will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen’s Burial Detail.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 22, 2016, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hahne Regional Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.

I’m so sorry for your loss of Joe. When I think of him I remember him teaching Nathan how to treat the ladies by tipping his hat.
Great guy even though I didn’t know him real well.
Just found out my co-worker’s husband (Jim Gulakowski) is also related to Joe. Small World!!!

I am so sorry to read Joe passed away. We served together in the Air Force. Joe is one of the few guys I remember during my time in the service. He was fun to know and someone you could always count on. A good friend.
