Mary Kay Garner

mary-kay-garnerMary Kay Garner, 60, of 633 East Joseph Road, St. Marys, passed away Friday, October 14, 2016, at the UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, after a brief battle with cancer.

She was born June 26, 1956, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Raymond L. Williamson and Beverly Ann Herbstritt Williamson, who survives of Johnsonburg. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Johnsonburg Schools.  She was an operations manager of Servco in Bradford.

On June 3, 1978, in the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg, she married Timothy H. Garner, who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Alicia Bogacki and her husband Shawn of St. Marys; two grandchildren, Bryannah Bogacki and Joshua Bogacki; and by four brothers, Daniel Williamson of Bennetts Valley, Dane Williamson and his wife Becky of Johnsonburg, Allen Williamson of St. Marys, and Scott Williamson and his wife Debbie of Johnsonburg.

Mary Kay was a member of the Sacred Heart Church. She ran her own catering business along with her brother.  She was a wonderful care giver for the elderly and was a wonderful and caring wife, daughter, sister, and grandmother.

There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Friday, October 21, 2016, at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 East Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857, or to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 403, St. Marys, PA  15857.

Very sorry to learn of Mary Kay’s illness. I met her through an elderly friend & enjoyed chatting on shift changes. She was truly a hard worker & very dedicated in everything she did!

Tim & Alicia, I’m so very sorry for your loss! Mary Kay was a good friend to my mom Mary Ellen, and I remember spending lots of times at your house when I was younger… I’m sure she is wooping it up with my mom in heaven… My condolences to your family.
