Vicki, Andrea, and Brad,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this tough time. Rick was genuinely a good person that had a heart of gold. He would do anything for anyone. He made people laugh and always put his family first. I am grateful that I got to teach next to him for most of my career. He always told me not to “sweat the small stuff”. I will never forget him…and all his little gadgets. Hugs to all of you!

Dear Vicki, Andrea, Brad and family,

We are sorry to hear of Rick’s passing. Carl and I enjoyed the times we had with Rick, Carl when he was the Metal working teacher and I when I was in his classroom as an inclusion aide. He always had a joke or funny story and we can’t think of him without seeing that big smile on his face.
You will be in our prayers during this difficult time. May Rick rest in Peace in the arms of Our Lord.

Vikki, Brad, Andrea and the extended Rick Miller family, Pam and I express our sincere sympathy on the tragic loss of Rick. I still find it hard to comprehend at times. He was a delight to work with and have as an employee as a summer ranger at East Branch Lake. He will surely be missed by all who knew him. I used to call him the “gadget man” because he always had some new gadget to share with us. God bless you all. Rest in peace Rick.

From the (way back) years in your bio science class to the years you tormented me at Giant Eagle with your corny jokes… I can’t pick a time I wasn’t rolling my eyes and shaking my head laughing. Thank you for all the laughs Mr. Miller! Rest in peace, may the angels guide you and keep you.

Alicia Himes October 5, 2016 at 11:13 pm

My sincere sympathy goes out to Vicki, Andrea, Brad and family.
Rick always had a smile and a very positive attitude toward life. When this illness hit him it was some time before he even knew what it was. He was in a lot of pain and told me he wasn’t able to even sit on his swing.
Well my friend, now you are at peace with the Lord God Almighty. You will be missed by many as you always had a joke or two to cheer others.
Until we meet again!

Vicky Barker
