Karen R. Rogan, 58, of 1133 South Michael Road, St. Marys, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at Penn Highlands DuBois.
She was born September 2, 1957, in DuBois, daughter of the late Charles and Carol Goodreau Dornish. She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys schools. She was a cook and lunch lady at Elk County Catholic High School.
Karen is survived by her husband, Robert L. Rogan of St. Marys; her daughter, Angela M. Shaffer and her husband Jared of St. Marys; her son, Timothy A. Gerber and his wife Tracy of Weedville; three grandchildren, Allison Shaffer, Andrew Gerber, and Haylie Gerber; four sisters, Tammy Houttekier and her husband Randy of Johnsonburg, Paula Meyer and her husband Kenneth of St. Marys, Melissa Dornish of St. Marys, and Rebecca Gabler and her husband Jason of St. Marys; and three brothers, Michael Dornish and his wife Kary of Nebraska, Joseph Dornish and his wife Teresa of South Carolina, and James Dornish and his wife Mary Pat of St. Marys.
Karen was a member of the St. Marys Eagles. She enjoyed her job at Elk County Catholic High School, especially being with the students and her fellow workers. She also enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and friends.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral and committal services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Hahne Regional Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801.

Karen sure is going to be missed! She had such a fun bubbly personality. I have some great memories I will cherish forever. Miss her already!!

Our daughter Arlene forwarded the obituary to us here in Florida. I am so sorry to hear Karen passed. That damn cancer got another one!! I will be thinking and praying for all her brothers and sisters who just went through all this not so long ago as well as her husband and kids.
So sorry for your loss. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
