Dorothy ChristoffDorothy E. Christoff, 91, a resident of Fairview Manor in Erie and formerly of Parkside at Westminster in Erie and 520 Brusselles Street in St. Marys, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the UPMC Hamot Hospital in Erie following a brief illness.

She was born February 2, 1924 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Arnold and Beatrice Smith Vollmer.  She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1942.

On June 5, 1947, in the Sacred Heart Church, she married James Vincent “G.G.” Christoff, who preceded her in death on February 12, 2012.

She is survived by a daughter, Connie Garrison and her husband John of Erie; two sons, James Christoff and his wife Diane of Syracuse, NY and Michael Christoff of Erie; eight grandchildren, Broderick Christoff, Emily House, Stephanie Shreve, Michelle Johnson, James Garrison, Sean Garrison, Morgan Garrison, and Joshua Garrison; and seven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Christoff was a member of the Queen of the World Church and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas.  She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family, and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Friday, April 17, 2015, at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, officiating.  Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday evening, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA  15857.
